We Bought A House!

So I’m sitting here catching up on blog post drafts from the last month and it hit me. UM HELLO. WE. BOUGHT. A. HOUSE! Y’all, wha the heck?! I haven’t even shared like, our big exciting news here on the blog…and why I’ve been MIA on LtL. It’s been an exciting year for us so far and settling into our first home has been one of our biggest blessings to date. I’m so grateful to call this beautiful home ours…all the years of hard work, sacrificing, and waiting for the right time have paid off.โค๏ธ

I’m not sure anyone’s ever mentioned this before, but buying your first home (any home) and moving can be quite the event! I’ve moved 8 times in the last 10 years and this one seems the most exhausting, but in the most exciting I-can’t-wait-to-get-settled-and-make-this-home-ours kinda way. Ya know?

Home Pics

I wanted to share a few photos from my phone the day we closed (I feel so grown and happy saying that), and some progress pics I’ve captured along the way. One of my goals over this year is to share with y’all ALL my home projects and decorating journeys as we make our first home ours. If you’ve been following LtL since the beginning, you know how much I love home decor (see this SUPER OG LtL post here). ๐Ÿ™ˆ Right now I’m working on a closet project, multiple trips to The Container Store and my office. If you’re following on Instagram you might’ve seen on stories my first trip (ever) to The Container Store was quite the success. I’m working on a blog post for March on what I found, what’s worked so far and what didn’t.

A quick update on life, in addition to the house: if y’all remember this post where I shared some personal goals for 2019, I’ve met with an acupuncturist a few times for infertility and really enjoying the process so far. If anything, it feels like really positive self care and a wonderful mental and physical reprieve from life’s busyness. Shortly after writing the post, God placed in my life a therapist only prayers and patience can provide. I’m really loving our time together and the kindness and guidance she’s providing. ย And in the news of our actual infertility doctor’s appointment, we have one this Monday! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผย Things are moving along and we’re trusting God’s plan throughout the process.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I can’t wait to share more with y’all over the months here on LtL! ย For more behind the scenes and day-to-day, come follow along on Instagram @lindsaygcottrill

Lemons to Love,
