Hey friends! If you’re following me on Instagram you might’ve seen the fun giveaway I’m doing for this A-MAZE-ING community. Since becoming intentional in 2018 with growing a business and community I have been impacted in ways I couldn’t ever have imagined. The friends I’ve gained both near and far, a community who supports and encourages, and a listening ear on vulnerable days…y’all have given me more than I’ll (honestly) ever be able to give back. If you’ve been following LtL for a while, you know my fond affections to hiking with my family. We used to hike quite frequently when we lived in the Pacific Northwest – one summer I actually set out a goal to hike 100 miles before we left Washington! While we didn’t rack up that many miles, we did our best and had a blast making the memories in the mean time. Since moving to Tennessee last year, I still wanted to make it a point to find kid friendly trails around Nashville and continue making those special memories with my family. One of the things I love about Nashville is the kid friendly options they offer! It’s so nice to have ‘date night’ places to go when you’re trying to stay friendly on the ol’ budget. Whether you’re looking for a family friendly destination, a date night for just two, or a wine picnic with the girls Arrington Vineyards has what youre lookin’ for: relaxation, good booze, and views for days. You know what ‘they’ all say…take care of your skin, you’ll regret not wearing that sunscreen when you get older, wash your face before you go to bed. What do ‘they’ know anyway??? Apparently a lot and as it turns out, I’m a ‘they’ now. Oh, if only my twenty-something self would’ve heeded the advice of the ‘theys’ 15, even 10 years ago! Today on the blog I’m sharing my (humble and non-medical) opinion on self care and my go-to skin care products for my mid-30s face!
Summa, summa, summa time!! Now that summer is officially here I’m already thinking of what Brooks and I can do around the Nashville area to make these next few months fun and memorable during our free time together. I’ve got a running list of a few local and day trips that are kid friendly, and I thought it’d be fun to share them here with you, plus a free template for your very own summer bucket list!
