RECIPE:
BLOOD ORANGE BANANA SMOOTHIE
*Quick disclaimer: you can customize this recipe quite easily to your tastebud’s likings, here are the ingredients I used for mine.
Yield: 2 large smoothies or 4 little smoothies for your littles
1 prepackaged bag blood oranges, juiced (about 6)
2 frozen bananas
2 cups almond milk
1 handful spinach (ya know, for the fiber)
*Optional: 1 cup frozen pineapple for a hint of citrus
*Note: If you don’t have any frozen fruit just add ~2 cups ice
Who knew blood oranges were so delicious?! They’re actually quite sweet, in a subtle way. They don’t pack that punch of citrus like regular oranges do and I really enjoyed the change! I would definitely make this recipe again, plus it’s toddler approved.

Yummy! So do you use 6 whole peeled blood oranges or just the juice of 6?
