Growing up I loved going to Auburn in the spring with my mom and dad. There was a different pace to the weekend that fall just doesn’t allow for. In the fall it’s all about the game and tailgating #turndownforwhat but in the spring you can slow things down a bit, walk the streets of downtown and enjoy the shops and restaurants. Plus, this trip was extra special because it was the first time we were taking Brooks to Jordan-Hare Stadium to watch the Tigers play. Geoff and I were so excited to share one of our favorite traditions, as a family of three. ???? Friday night we had tickets to watch the women’s softball team take on the Vols then we headed back to our hotel room to get B settled and have a wine party with mom and dad. ???????? Saturday’s weather was slightly less than desirable for outside activities but we came prepared in our raincoats and umbrellas. The university put on a fun little family fun zone before the game (seen more in the video I put together!) with an petting zoo and bouncy houses. After some time exploring it was time for the main show. I was so excited y’all! I had my camera ready to watch B’s face light up with wonder as he entered the stadium. He even gave the ‘gate keepers’ his ticket to scan like a big boy. ???? It was such a special weekend for us and so glad we got to spend it with my mom and dad. Auburn has always been such a special place for Geoff and me and we were (emotionally) excited to make new memories with our B!
Here’s a little collage of the weekend taken with my iPhone!
