Do you remember it? The hope, endless possibilities and excitement for what lie ahead. Whether it was high school or the college days the anticipation for graduation was such a special time in the lives of hopeful seniors. A few weeks ago I got together with my beautiful neighbor for a special golden hour portrait session.
I love working with this age: late teens and early twenties have this certain glimmer in their eye full of a confidence they haven’t even fully tapped into yet. I love learning from them, talking with them and working with them creatively. This session was particularly special for me because I’ve really grown to love this girl! I can’t wait to see what all she does in the beautiful life she has ahead of her…it’s going to be something special. 🙂
Today we are heading down to Florida to the family lake house! I can’t wait! Memorial Day weekend is always the annual ‘opening lake weekend’ for the fam. I can’t wait to see Brooks continue building memories in a place I’ve grown up going to my whole life. I learned to slalom when I was 8, tube with the best of them, and wakeboard a monster wake of 1 foot. 😉 For similar posts on the lake see this post or this post.
Happy long weekend friends! Remembering the reason for this holiday while celebrating with those we love.
What are your Memorial Day plans?
