Whether you’re a beauty junkie or casual makeup lover, we all have the same goal of looking and feeling our best. While some beauty favorites are on the higher price point, their reputation exceeds them as tried and true quality. But even with a proven reputation to be some of beauty product’s best, not all can afford the high end price tag. On today’s post I’m sharing with y’all 10 beauty dupes you need in your daily arsenal, most of them being under $20, with quick shipping from Amazon!
Y’all may remember I’ve been trying to invest more in my skin by getting out of my drugstore comfort zone and splurge on new products. Amazon has really stepped up it’s beauty product availability over the years. The good news is, there are so many beauty products out there for all skin types you’re likely to find a beauty dupe in the right price range for you.
10 Beauty Dupes
Primer
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer $39 – Smashbox claims their primer minimizes pores, and let me tell y’all the claims are true. I usually only wear this on a night out or an event because, to be honest, I don’t really care about a ‘photo finish’ on most days of the week! #realtalk But for those special occasions and night’s out this is a must-have for me!
E.l.f Cosmetics Face Primer $6 – This $10 drugstore dupe is every bit as good as the Smashbox brand in my opinion. Nothing too elaborate here, I’d go back to e.l.f on this occasional beauty product!
Beauty Blender
Beauty Blender $17 – This Beauty Blender is a cult favorite. Some are loyalist to this original trend setter and I get it! It’s a great product and does its job.
Real Techniques Complexion Sponge $7.69 – These two products are pretty evenly matched for me and why it’s one of my favorite beauty dupes. Some will argue that the BeautyBlender is worth the extra money because you get longer use from it. I would argue against that. I’ve had the same sponge for over a year now and it’s still in the same condition as when I bought it! I wash it regularly with this cleaning solution and it’s held up so well! And for those who haven’t used these sponges, I think it’s a personal preference to using a foundation brush to apply your product. I personally like the sponge to a brush because it leaves a smoother finish and doesn’t get all over my hands (and clothes). Just remember to dampen it before each use! I made this mistake when I first got mine and the results are not in your favor.
Powder Brushes
It Cosmetics Powder Brush $48 – I feel (almost) guilty for even finding a dupe for It Cosmetics because I honestly love so many of their products (read more here), but when you find a brush that’s the perfect beauty dupe you have to share it.
Real Techniques Powder Brush $15 – I have loved my It Cosmetics brush, but when I stumbled upon the Real Techniques brushes based off The BeYouty Bureau I was sold at first application. (Seriously y’all go follow her ASAP. I love her product reviews, tips, beauty tutorials and overall message of realness. Plus, she’s a new mom of 3! #goals) These brushes are so soft, offer perfection product application and clean really well. I love how they keep their shape and don’t shed like some other cheap brushes I’ve bought in the past.
Additional beauty brush: I love the Real Techniques Setting Brush. I don’t always get around to cleaning off my brushes as often as I’d like, so when I’m blending colors I like to have multiple blending brushes on hand! For under $4 each it’s nice to have a few in my beauty arsenal.
Mascara
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara $24 – This has been a great mascara that really plumps up my lashes and doesn’t run on my oily lids.
L’Oreal Paradise Voluminous Waterproof Mascara $9.99 – This mascara is the definition of a beauty dupe. They both provide long-wear, no-smudge, thicker lashes. For more than half the price I’ll be a repeat buyer for L’Oreal on this one!
Highlighter
Lancome Dual Finish Highlighter $40 – I actually just came across this highlighter and I really love it. It goes on so smoothly with the perfect highlighting finish that looks natural and doesn’t leave a cakey finish.
Maybelline Master Chrome Highlighter $5.31 – Another amazing beauty dupe you can hardly tell apart from pricier alternative. The only difference I can tell is the Maybelline highlighter has a bit more shimmer to it where the Lancome highlighter has a bit more of a natural ‘glow’ to it. But for the price tag I’m not complaining and will repurchase.
Bronzer/Contour Powder
Urban Decay Flushed Palette $28.90 – Ok, I realize this might not be a 100% exact beauty dupe because the Urban Decay is a palette with highlighter and blush, but they were both worthy of making the list for their own reasons. This Urban Decay Flush palette is a great everyday use, but the bronzer is a little dark for my liking so I actually use it for more of a contouring powder and night out look.
Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer $11 – I’ve been a Physicians Formula fan for years. I love this bronzer for an all-over summer bronzing or for a softer contour powder and daytime wear. Both are honestly great and I wanted to share them with y’all depending on your budget and makeup style preference!
Setting Spray
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray $34 – I bought this setting spray last year because I’d read so many good things about it and I’m so glad I did! I still have the same bottle and use it multiple times a week. I love this for a date night out, events or a long day when I know I’ll have multiple meetings and shoots. It really does it’s just by setting my makeup for the whole day and I don’t have to worry about reapplying any makeup. Even though the Milani Setting Spray is an amazing drugstore dupe, I’ll be an Urban Decay-er for life.
Milani Make It Last Setting Spray $9.99 – The Milani Setting Spray does all the amazing things that the Urban Decay does. My only opinion is it doesn’t seem to set my makeup for quite as long, and being the active ‘man sweater’ that I am I need all the help I can get! You can’t beat the price, so this is just personal preference for your daily beauty needs!
Under Eye Concealer
Bobbi Brown Corrector $23.80 – Ok, I haven’t actually tried this Bobbie Brown corrector. Since the NYX dupe is one of my go-to beauty dupe favorites I thought it was only fair to at least share the higher end I’ve read about to compare to the NYX concealer. Have any of y’all personally compared these two? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
NYX Dark Circle Concealer $4.19 – No matter how much I sleep or hydrate dark circles are just part of me, so I’m always on the hunt for the best dark circle concealer. I’ve been using this NYX concealer for years, seriously. I’ve never found anything better. This is one of my favorite drugstore dupes. I use it every day and love it. It goes on smooth, does not cake under my eyes or dry out after all-day wear.
Makeup Remover
Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm $64 – Have you ever gone to wash your face with your cleanser just to realize later SOME STILL REMAINS. I started using a cleansing balm last year and it has been a game changer to makeup remover and breakouts. This cleansing balm is a self care luxury and splurge and could make for a great gift!
Makeup Remover Cleansing Balm $19 – This is one of my very favorite beauty dupes! I love this cleanser almost more than the Elemis cleansing balm because of it’s affordable price and texture. I find the Elemis irritates my eyes slightly if the balm gets in them while I’m washing my face in the shower. This one doesn’t irritate at all, is gentle and does the job just as well at the $64 balm.
Facial Cleansing Tool
PMD Clean $99 – I love these cleansing brushes! I got the PMD Clean during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last year after my Cleansing Brush (below) stopped working on me after I dropped it a few times. Oops. I use this cleansing tool every time I was use my face wash for a deeper clean and gentle exfoliation.
Facial Cleansing Brush $14 – I had this cleansing brush first before buying the PMD and it works JUST as well for a fraction of the cost! That’s why it’s top in my beauty dupe favorites.
