Gone are the days of having to get in your car for…anything really. With the changes this year has brought, online shopping is at an all-time high and I’m not mad about it. And with a little one on the way, I’m so thankful for grocery deliveries, curb side pickup, and Amazon Prime. I personally like to think of my online shopping this past year as single-handedly stimulating our economy for the better. All kidding aside, Amazon Prime has been such a life safer on some of my favorite household and beauty needs, especially as of late so I wanted to share them here with y’all.
Over on Instagram I’ve been sharing ‘Things I didn’t know I needed’ (TIDKIN) and as of recently, a lot of them have been from Amazon. Whether they’ve made my life easier, quicker, cleaner or benefiting my self-care, these beauty additions I didn’t know I needed are things I’ve come to find I can’t live without! If something is making my life easier I find it my passionate civic duty to share it here, with y’all – and for today’s #passionproject that means sharing my Amazon Prime beauty favorites below.
My Amazon Prime Beauty Favorites
Makeup Remover Pads – These reusable Face Halo makeup erasers are one of my top 3 Amazon Prime beauty favorites. I use it every time I wash my face to remove any makeup (even tinted moisturizer) – you’d be surprised how much your regular face wash, or even wash cloth, does not remove your makeup. hint: it’s alarming. I have the 3-pack so after a few uses I throw my makeup remover pad in the wash and grab a clean one for next time. I’ve also used and liked these Makeup Eraser wash cloths, but I personally liked the size of the small round pads more – I felt it was easier to hold versus the larger wash cloth size.
Silicone Body Brush – These hypoallergenic silicone brushes are a favorite in our shower routine. A few years ago Geoff and I both traded in our shower loofahs for a more hygienic and equally exfoliating option to wash our bodies. They are even great for a kid-friendly option over a traditional wash cloth! Compared to other traditional body washing methods, these silicone brushes don’t harbor germs or bacteria and have fingers grips for easy shower scrubbing.
Hair Shampoo Brush and Scalp Massager – With over 30,000 reviews and under $8, this soft silicone head massager is TOP on my TIDKIN and Amazon Prime beauty favorites. I use it every time I wash my hair for that gentle salon scalp massage everyone loves. This scalp brush gently massages my scalp and provides a deeper clean after I’ve applied my shampoo or hair mask.
Moisturizing Body Wash & Shower Oil – I typically have dry skin year round and have loved using this Dove DermaSeries Fragrance Free Body Wash. Since being pregnant my skin has been extra dry. I love how this body wash is gentle and hypoallergenic. As a bonus, it’s even gentle enough for Brooks’ dry, sensitive skin. As we head into the winter months that can be extra drying on skin I also like to add this Bioderma shower oil to my shower routine. I love adding a shower oil to lock in the moisture my skin desperately needs!
Coconut Milk Bath Soak – I LOVE this Herbivore coconut milk bath soak. It’s perfect for those days you just need – & have the time – for some self care quiet bathing. It leaves my skin SO soft without that sticky or slimy residue feeling some bath bombs or soaps leave my skin feeling. It would also make for a great gift for a new mom, teacher or friend!
Makeup Brush Cleaner – I’ve used half a dozen or more different makeup brush cleaners over the years, and let me tell you not all cleaners are created equal. Don’t be alarmed by the price. This Cinema Secrets Pro Cosmetic Professional Brush Cleaner is the best thing since sliced bread and you get a lot of mileage with the larger container. It makes cleaning your makeup brushes super quick, easy and mess free with the fastest dry time I’ve seen. After I’ve dipped my brush in the solution I like to use these soft microfiber towels from Amazon to brush away the makeup. I get them white so I can see when the brush is completely clean!
Makeup Brushes – I’ve had this brush set for almost two years now and the bristle quality is still the same as when I bought them. I think it helps to keep them clean regularly, especially with a more gentle cleaning solution like the Cinema Secrets cleaner above. It really helps keep the quality and longevity of your makeup brushes.
Eyebrow Tint Gel and Brow Filler – This has been my go-to brow tint gel for a few years now and I’ve yet to find a replacement at this quality and price point. This particular brand is actually an AMAZING dupe for a cult favorite brow tint out on the market. It lasts forever and provides a nice, natural tint to your fill in your brows.
Under Eye Collagen Masks – If you follow me on Instagram you know I love me some eye and face masks. I have a whole shelf dedicated to them in my fridge actually. I have a few favorites on my IG highlights that I’ve shared, all at different price points. I recently started using these 24K Gold Anti-Aging Under Eye Masks and really like them. They come with a lot of serum on them, don’t dry out quickly and feel refreshing and brightening after use.
Hydrating Sheet Mask – This Korean sheet mask is one of my favorites, especially for the price point. It feels SO hydrating, stays in place and doesn’t dry out quickly like most masks do at this price. It’s one of my very favorites second to a higher-end skin care brand face mask I love.
Face and Eye Ice Roller – Another Amazon Prime beauty favorite, this face and ice roller! I’ve been using this (and my jade ice roller) for years now. I leave it in the freezer and take out in the mornings while I’m sipping on my coffee. It’s great for puffy eyes and face, lymphatic drainage, blood flow and tension headaches. Sometimes I’ll even intensify the depuffing by using the ice roller over my eye and face masks. With a removable roller, it makes for easy cleaning after each use before placing back in the freezer.
Exfoliating Dermaplaning Tool – Calling all ladies! Y’all know I’m a BIG advocate for shaving your face. It is SUCH an amazing way to remove that extra facial fuzz we can all get around our jawline and exfoliate your face for better product absorption. I used the Tinkle razor for years but just recently switched to the Schick Silk Dermaplaning Tool and like it even more. I find it gets an even better shave on my face for maximum exfoliation. Tip: these are inexpensive, disposable razors so to keep the bacteria and breakouts at bay I suggest tossing after a single use! To watch my face shaving tutorial head on over to this post!
Facial Steamer – This Facial Steamer has been a fun new quarantine addition to my beauty routine. Any time before I dermaplane or use my personal microneedling or microdermabrasion tools I use this face steamer. Steaming your face for a few minutes before exfoliating or extracting can help open pores and soften skin texture…plus it just feels good. It’s been nice to use when I take a few extra minutes to myself on self-care Sundays.
