Inspire to DIY

Crafting and creatively designing is me in my happy place. I don’t have some grand story of when, why, or even who inspired me to catch this DIY/creatively-crafty bug…but I’m sure glad I caught it and don’t plan on letting go.

I LOVE repurposing old furniture…like, really love it! I find joy and purpose in the repurpose. Restoring something old into something new brings a certain challenge and therapeutic twist to my everyday.  I’d say my creative design style is traditionally eclectic with a twist of glamour.  I love to finding inspirations in the world all around me through designers, bloggers, magazines, friends, family, and of course Pinterest! I find that creating a blend of vintage and glamour in a room brings interest and conversation to life! In my perfect world I would have an unlimited supply (at no cost, of course) to the warmth of Restoration Hardware and Ballard Design, the glamour of  Z Gallery and Joss & Main, the chic and funky styles of Jonathan Adler and Nate Burkus all styled together with the expertise of those employed by Elle Decor, Traditional Home, and House Beautiful…oh, and with Mary McDonald and Jeff Lewis to keep me company, naturally. Until that day, I will continue to dream, design, DIY … and gladly welcome family hand-me-downs and up cycle my vintage finds!

During my blogging quest, I’ll be sharing my crafts, revamps and creative pieces with you. I’ll be starting a series of before & afters called ‘Drab to Fab’ before too long, so stay tuned!
