Last Friday I stepped outside my comfort zone and into a place of friendly faces and good food. With my experience of moving and starting over, I’ve learned that the only way to build a community is by being open, open, open! Open to opportunities, new people, new conversations…and (unfortunately) open to being let down.
I don’t meant that to be negative by any means, I just mean it to be factual. With anything in life, if you want to grow you’ve got to be comfortable to take chances…and be okay with those chances not working out (but moving on anyway)!
This year I’ve been really trying to put myself out there, make some changes and make.it.happen (in whatever ‘it’ is). So I was thrilled when I reached out to The Nashville Mom via Instagram and she invited me to join her and a few others for a brunch at Loveless Cafe.
It was such a joy meeting other women, moms, entrepreneurs trying to make ‘it’ happen too. We shared stories over a mimosa, warm biscuits, and home-style brunch and it was exactly what the doctor ordered on a Friday! There’s just something about the fellowship of other women that really open the heart and mind to something more within ourselves. I’m slightly hooked now on a Mom’s brunch out TGIF style…looking to make this a thing y’all! Anyone interested, hit me up! *
I’m serious about the regard brunch meet up…It needs to be a thing!
